Talked to a guy who was at the Nease-Sandalwood game. He said that Stokes has trouble reading coverage and does not throw well. He said Stokes has decent movement and runs well, but that if he was rating him 1-5 stars, that he'd be a one-star Division III prospect. He doesn't see any way that Stokes will ever develop into a starter at UF.

After six games, Nease is 1-5 and Stokes has completed 48 percent of his passes for 734 yards, 4 TDs and 6 INTs. He's carried 55 times for 249 yards and 6 TDs. Troubling stat line...

The only thing that comes to my mind is, I hope we have at least two seasons with AR and Kitna.

I mean everyone knows he was a plan C guy (he wasn't even OFFERED until AFTER Rashada committed to UM) and he's being recruited over in 2024 and 2025 class (Lagway and Hurley). I don't follow HS football game by game but I don't think Nease has much talent around him but still, his stats are troubling. I know one of those games he played this year was in the bad rainstorm but yea, he's not having a good senior season so far.

But you never know what kind of prospect he can develop into once he has some college coaching and seasoning for a few seasons on the bench.

Those numbers mean more than the word of some anonymous person, no offense intended, but yeah... the numbers are subpar for sure. I wonder what he runs the 40 in?

Driskell was a Five Star top 20 player, if he had better coaching he would’ve been very good. He played several years in the NFL

Scholly well spent. Dude is recruiting hard for UF. Maybe he develops, maybe not.

EJ Manuel was a first day pick by the experts and the bills. I saw that he sucked when he played our secondary. Don’t mind me professionals

I never said recruiting services are right. You can do better than that.

    Right?

Don’t veer off. It was a silly indefensible comment by someone you knew. Hope you tore him a new one. BC now that guy has to hope Stokes (a teen in HS) is a dud so the guy can say I Told you so - and thats terrible.

So CBN is incompetent for offering him?

I see your Sabelhaus and raise you with Tebow ;)

I know Nease lost a lot of players this year so it could be a lot of factors to his struggles

You've made 2 posts quoting others questioning the kids character and skill. No one here has expectations that he is the future star QB, he's a good athlete with some upside. We are very well positioned for highly rated QB's in the next 2 classes, no reason for any heartburn about this take.

Some evaluators like the young man's potential. Having said that, yes the stats and Neases performance on the field have not been impressive.

But it's hardly time to throw the baby out with the bathwater, and as garettk posted he has been a very enthusiastic recruiter
    for UF.

Let's see how Spring and Fall camp work out first!
