Personally, I think Bill played it all wrong. When the Lewinsky story broke he should have just said: “I’m sorry for any pain or embarrassment that I have caused, but yes, I did have sex with that woman. Ms Lewinsky. But come on folks, have you seen my wife? Can you imagine that shrieking voice yelling at you all day? Can you imagine getting into bed with that each night?

I would have teared up, opened my arms and given him a big “It’s okay, don’t worry hug”.

Especially considering Hillary most likely looks similar to the mothers, daughters, aunts and grandmothers of the MAGA rubes attacking her. Whatever makes them feel better about themselves, I guess.

 

He may even wear them around the house when only he and the dog are there, the latter with his head between his paws (the which is the dog equivalent of "you gotta be shittin' me!")
