You’re allowed to buy them now. They’re willing to spend whatever is necessary to get what they want. It is what it is. We’re allowed to challenge them. How bad do you want it?
It will be much more satisfying winning the WCWS next year without having to pay a hired gun. Plus, tomorrow is the last day to enter the portal and as far as I know no Gator has chosen to go that route which speaks volumes for this program.
True, but none of them came for the money. All three wanted to be student athletes at The University of Florida for different reasons.
I’ll root for our girls either way. I just don’t get the never ending complaints for doing something anyone can do. If you want to buy the most expensive players, do it. If you don’t, be happy with who we get. No reason to complain about someone spending more, the solution there is a simple one.
Yup simple solution. One of us simply needs to start a 20 billion dollar company. I’ll get right on that
Yep. And be willing to provide unlimited money to the coach and program every year to buy players to win championships that NOBODY else in the country has the resources to do. Most of this thread is complete B.S. because some are ignoring reality. On purpose.
I can tell you’re mad, can’t tell if you’re mad at me though. I hope not, somebody else did it! We’re on the same side…I think
We pretty much have the same thing here at UF. One guy floating the majority of the load for UF’s NIL funding. He’s just not as personally interested in softball. If he was, you’d better believe he could compete with just about anyone to get who he wants. Plenty of people in this country have the resources to fund a competitve college softball team. Not many people have the desire. You guys have made it pretty clear you’re not interested in the players looking for money. Why do you care where they end up? Being mad that OU has more money is about the same as being mad your neighbor drives a lexus and you can only afford a sentra.
That exact thought has crossed my mind but I decided I have a better chance of selling my oceanfront condo in Nebraska.
Believe it or not I do get what you’re saying. On the flip side however I think you’re missing the point many others are making, especially when points are being made with humor and in jest.
