Softball Transfer Portal

That seems to be especially true for outfielders. I see only Shumaker, McLellan and Thomas listed as outfielders. None of the four transfers and two new freshmen list as outfielders. Maybe there are still unknown transfers? Or am I missing something?

 

Ella Wesolowski is listed on Mississippi State's roster as catcher/outfielder. I still think Coach Walton will sign another couple of players between now and the end of the year.

 

Just wondering….perhaps our roster will be paper thin for other reasons. I read somewhere the AD has asked for a 5% reduction in operating costs across the board to fund the settlement costs. That, along with the scholarship limit increase, may come into play. If I remember correctly,,last year 12 scholarships cost over $840k at the published Value north of $70k per student athlete. If full scholarships were used as an inducement it would likely make it impossible to meet the cost reduction request.
Does anyone have any input on this?
BTW, congratulations to my wife is in order! Yesterday, marked 60 years of putting up with my crap. Always a Gator Fan, like me, the best has been since we tuned in the 2007 College Station Regional. WOW! Nelson vs. Scarborough. Evan’s vs. Walton. NOTHIN’ BETTER THAN TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!

 

Congrats 6677! 60, Wow! My lady and I will roll over 38 in a couple of weeks and you don’t hear of many now days that make it THAT far. But 60, that is something my gator friend.

 

Back when the program won back to backs it looked like that things were rolling for a ‘dynasty’ to be declared. Then along came Boomer Sooner backed by the Love money. Now NIL has opened the door wide for schools that can find Sugar Daddies willing to set them up to be the top contenders. At this point, it would appear that we UF fans may as well adjust expectations and be content with CTW keeping the gators somewhere in the mix as possible contenders rather than dominant pursuers of those championships. We will see if he and his bestie AT and staff can/will manage to continue even that. Time will tell.

Congrats on 60 years of marriage!!! My wife & I will hit 50 in September. God has blessed me - life is good, although it would be better if Florida softball could find a couple of sugar daddies.

 

After the way her mother blasted Coach Walton and the UF softball program on social media a few weeks ago, I find that highly doubtful. On top of that, I'm pretty sure her eligibility is used up.
