Does anyone here have access to the D1 Transfer Portal? If so, what - if any - Florida players entered and has Florida picked anyone up?

All the softball outlets have a tracker, but not for free. They will usually run a story though on anyone significant.

D1 Softball, Extra Innings softball, & Softball America are the main 3 Im aware of.

Why aren’t we getting any of these top transfers?

    Is our program toxic?

Or do these top players not believe that our hitting and pitching coaches cannot/will not develop them effectively?

We have some of the top HS players committed the next two years. Need to save room for them as well. They should play immediately. Pitching is where we have struggled against top programs

Two Arizona Wildcat softball players enter transfer portal: Sharlize Palacios and Janelle Meono. Palacios, a true junior during the 2022 season, has two years of eligibility remaining. She batted .326, 20 HRs and 64 RBIs. She recorded at least one base hit in all but two games during the NCAA tourney, 3 HRs and eight RBIs. Meono spent a significant portion of 2022 out with an injury; despite not playing from March 3 thru April 23, she collected a .291 batting average in 117 at-bats and recorded 23 runs scored, 4 stolen bases and a .661 OPS. Meono also has two years of eligibility remaining.

Any info on why Cali left? Since she was a close friend of Mia Williams (a top commit for next year) I hope that won’t hurt us there. Also, Tennessee got a very highly rated pitcher via transfer. Any chance for us to still get one?

My info was that CTW told her she would have to earn her way back for playing time at her exit interview.

She came out of the interview crying and said it did not go as she thought it would.

Hopefully, it will not affect Mia.

If a player has that kind of attitude I don’t mind seeing them go.

Kids are such snowflakes these days. Even if she hadn’t had her injury, every fall and spring kids should have to earn their PT. What do they expect?

Cottrill now at A&M. Maybe she can be happy there. That was one player I never understood leaving, though I guess there were chemistry problems. Thought she was going to be huge for us.
