NY has ranked choice in the primary so that's an interesting factor there. A lot is going to depend on if people who dont favor Cuomo rank him. Or if Cuomo voters rank Mamdani.

 

What makes him a socialist? Does he want everyone to pay more for goods through tariffs to protect jobs? Give tax payer funded investment accounts to babies? Promote the biggest spending deficit in US history? Hold $50M birthday parades for himself? Give us the details….

To be fair, the guy is in DSA, he's not exactly someone running away from the concept. And the big prize here is becoming the mayor, which means he will be the guy everyone hates if he wins, and stuck in a job that has never catapulted anyone into higher office.
