More like a sad commentary of how evil and toxic Republican politics and misinformation have become, perhaps especially to their own base. You have some of these conservatives going against the grain (Jim Justice in WV and the AL governor and some others) basically begging their people to get vaccinated and yet their pleas have been largely ignored. This is the result.

 

Counterpoint: Conservatives typically have larger families. My sister has 11 children for example. (Don't ask me to even try to explain that.)

It basically doesn’t even matter in these deep red states. These people are dying for literally nothing. Sacrificing themselves on the alter of a guy who shits on gold plated toilets.

In a purple state it might actually matter though. A few thousand votes here or there can tip elections So in a twisted way, it’s a form of political Darwinism. I doubt it has some huge effect since the deaths in any given district are in the hundreds or maybe few thousands, but if it’s studied it wouldn’t be shocking if it tipped a few specific elections in the next couple cycles.

Deep red states won't see any shift. But purple states, and states like Arizona that is turning purple, the numbers could shift the tide even more. Biden won Arizona because he won the suburban housewife, did better than usual among seniors, and got the biggest lift from younger, first time voters. If the OP numbers are true, then Biden's margin of victory today would be even larger than what the Cyber Ninjas found!

 

Republicans are less likely to be vaccinated. Old people are actually more likely to be vaccinated.

 

Sad that so many conservatives have chosen to own the libs this way. I bet Ronald Reagan would have called these people morons.

 

Maybe take it as a warning to those in the included counties. I would take it as such if I lived in one but trump only won 67% here.

 

Older people are also far more likely to be vaccinated resulting in increasing death rates among younger people. Vaccinations reduce the probability of death. Science!
Edit: I would also add the older conservative pro-Trumpers are much less likely to be vaccine resistant than younger people with the same political leanings. Obviously anecdotal based on news coverage it appears to me that majority of hard line vaccine resistant individuals are in the 30 to 55 year age range.

I might also add that although older people had a higher priority when the vaccine supplies were limited that hasn't been the case in the US since April.
