This must be a two question test:
    1. Which one the authoritarian?
    2. Which one is the President of North Korea?

Faux News doing what they do best, being hypocrites and offering double standards for different presidents.

Yes, conservatives used to have standards. But liberals never did, and they won the culture war, right? So here we are. Congrats to you and yours.

You are aware that Kristoff has won multiple Pulitzer prizes? When was the last time Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh were recognized for excellence? Giving credit where credit is due, both are outstanding entertainers and are earning sizable incomes for their success in that field, but neither is a serious journalist.

So a progress gets a literary prize from an organization that has a liberal nature. Is anyone supposed to be excited? The guy is a progressive nut job who’s just another anti-trumpeter and hardly objective.

Trump does even bother to hide the fact that he's just making shit up and lying about it now. He knows the TSS crowd just doesn't care if he's right. They don't care if what he's doing is good for the country, and they don't care if he lies to their face. He knows they're "all in" regardless, so why bother even trying to hide the lies anymore?

    Exhibit A follows this post.

Trump: If I was wrong about Kim, 'I'll find some kind of an excuse'

Trump told reporters that he trusts Kim and believes North Korea will implement the denuclearization policies the leaders agreed on during their historic summit.

“I may be wrong,” Trump said during a news conference after the meeting. “I may stand before you in six months and say, ‘Hey, I was wrong.' ”

“I don’t know that I’ll ever admit that, but I’ll find some kind of an excuse,” Trump added with a smile.

"No-one has shown more contempt for other nations and for the wellbeing of their own people than the depraved regime in North Korea."

"It is responsible for the starvation deaths of millions of North Koreans, and for the imprisonment, torture, killing and oppression of countless more."

    -- trump, November 2017

"We’re going to have a great discussion and I think tremendous success. We’re going to be tremendously successful, and it’s my honor, and we will have a terrific relationship."

"Great personality, and very smart. ... I learned [Kim Jong Un] is a very talented man. I also learned that he loves his country very much."

There's only one acceptable answer, because there's only one accurate answer: No, North Korea is not our enemy. Not presently.

That's an inarguable fact because North Korea is a dictatorship, and Kim Jung Un is the dictator. He doesn't have to answer to a Congress, an electorate, a free press or a military-industrial complex. He doesn't worry about how the stock market will react. There's nobody else pulling his strings. What he says goes. So if Kim says he doesn't want to be enemies with Trump, then North Korea is not our enemy. Simple as that.

Kim could change his mind tomorrow, and we've got a ways to go before considering North Korea our friend, but as of today they are not our enemy and are not a nuclear threat to us. Like it or not, President Trump deserves credit for that state of affairs.

Well thank God an honorable, decent, and honest man like Kim can't lie, otherwise we wouldn't know, 100% sure, without question, that North Korea is not our enemy. They really, really like us now. Really.

Since @OaktownGator didn't answer my question, I'll answer it: No, that's not the same thing he was saying before.

Back on March 7, 2018, he was saying this:
...and this the next day, on March 8, 2018:
I scoffed at that, and said, "Come on. You really think one of their crappy missiles could make it all the way to the U.S., and then actually detonate?"

His reply, on March 9, 2018:
...but now, somehow the "threat" that was "very real" three months ago is not real anymore. In fact, it was never real. To avoid giving President Trump credit for accomplishing anything, he has to say this:
    :eek:o_O

It's like I keep saying: TDS is a terrible thing, folks. :(

...and just to show that you don't have to be as smart as that poster (who went to all the best schools) to come up with insightful thoughts like that:

Why test missiles after already having them work?
    [/QUOTE]
Are you under the impression that a missle is tested once and declared “good to go?”

I have been consistent on NK the entire time.

The only times I have mentioned NKs newly acquired ability to deliver nukes to US targets was to point out the blatant hypocrisy of the Trump worshipers, who would have excoriated any Dem POTUS who allowed the exact same events on their watch.

Obama was correctly criticized for his empty "red line" threats to Syria. Should Trump not similarly be criticized for his childish name calling and empty "fire and fury" threats to NK as they put missile launch after missile launch in his face?

It isn't me lacking consistency here.

Trump just took a baby step towards a marathon that is almost certainly unfinishable. And he is not nearly as far into that race as others have been before him. If he finishes I'll happily give him credit. Until then, I'll assume history will repeat itself.
