No speed wr and it cost Cryst his job. Offense was inept. Dike was the best of a severely lacking wr group. This is simply see. With a new coach coming in and his production fell off in comparison to others. He can run and I think will contribute. My point is simply that he is not going to be a difference maker. That is all. 19 catches this year. Just a caution to not expect him to be even WR2 here.
You have no idea what you're talking about. Lewis and Bell are very fast. Faster than Dike, who has good speed. What cost Cryst his job was obscenely obsolete offensive system.
You may be correct when it's all said and done but you realize how bad Mertz was dragged based on his performance at Wisconsin right? I mean he still has flaws but he performed better than all the national pundits and college fans said he would. Hopefully Dike has the same improvement from a change of scenery.
Always hope for success for those in the Orange and Blue. To the others that quoted me, maybe the others has speed but it sure didn’t. Translate to the game for the Badgers receivers in 2022. And yeah I went to the games and talked in depth with fans that know football. None of the WRs on the 2022 team would be playing significant minutes in the SEC. But maybe it was the Cryst 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. Dike was not a significant contributor to the offense this year, under 20 receptions I believe. Believe he provides depth and would LOVE to see him prove me wrong.
Brandon shorter came in with the knock that he was slow and lazy while at Penn state. He developed nicely and probably would have had a pretty good year his last year if not for injury. It's certainly not a guarantee but a change of scenery, system does some people good.
I was up in Mammoth skiing for a few days and trying to keep up with the signing. Then I finally talked with a Gator buddy and he said we dropped to 15. While that was definitely shocking, it seems like we also got some great kids. DJ could literally change the whole landscape of Florida ball. I assume he'll be used like Tebow was in his first year, maybe more. Please. I suppose we need a linebacker's coach now as well as a gaggle of key kids from the winter portal. I would expect our defense to improve next year with some defensive guys back from injury, and it being the second year in the system; I like it! A new line coach and secondary coach seem like nice upgrades. There are also some grumblings about more changes to the offense. Maybe an OC? I don't hate that idea. Dear Mr. Lagway, build the dream and reel in the great ones to play with you...(once they see what you can do in Orange and Blue.) Go Gators.
