    Why would teaching objective history be a problem? History isnt subjective.

    Ironic. But I don't much care anyways. I called a spade a spade. A group that believes in banning books, whitewashing history, and suppressing free speech are indeed human-sized garbage cans.

    History is very much subjective. In fact, I'm not sure an "objective" history actually exists. We can certainly strive for accurate history, but history is always told from somebody's point of view.

    Yes, you’re right. I wasn’t paying attention to what I was doing.

    Interesting that that is what you chose to focus on in my post. I found it interesting that someone wanted to “cut off” women’s history right about the time we got to right to vote.

    Kudos, grammar police.

    Yes I agree that your course should, of course, cover the whole timeline. No tickets will be issued today on the moving grammar violation. ;)

    And whom better to teach it than you? My guess is nobody, so teach it. By the way. my son graduated Summa Cum Laude from Engineering School and my daughter is working on her PhD in Biomedical Sciences. She has also been accepted to Med school if she chooses to go. So teachers like you make a difference. ;)

    Thanks Swampbabe!! :star::star:

    Are they? Whose perspective is objective? Whose perspective isn't objective?

    In my amateur and most likely biased opinion, I agree with you that this is the exact reason why you should teach it. We need more young women with real confidence. I'd even see how to make that a wrinkle within your class, asking them why or how they think each historically significant woman found to courage to strive for their ambitions and the confidence to pursue success.

    "The criterion and rule of the true is to have made it. Accordingly, our clear and distinct idea of the mind cannot be a criterion of the mind itself, still less of other truths. For while the mind perceives itself, it does not make itself."

    But generally not a political slant (curriculum wise). My point 8s she can just teach the curriculum and keep the conversations from skidding into the political weeds. You dont teach as long as she has without having that very important ability to keep things on task

    And history is not subjective. The telling of it is. History happened. The ramifications may be up for debate, but the documented events are not.
