Not enroll anywhere until next summer. I actually think this is good for UF. No spin. But he has to sit a year anyway.

Why do you think this is good? Does this help with numbers in any way?

To me it’s four months for him to change his mind.

yea I knew he wasn't going to get a waiver so him sitting is all for the best. Let him get a year under his belt and with Savage to get his playing weight down.

Long as he's a Gator in the end, that's all i care about personally lol

Not sure this makes sense. If he's not enrolled at UF, how can he work with Savage on getting his weight down? Seems to me if he's going to be a Gator, coaches would want him here now.

Only a guess, but I wonder if maybe the coaches decided with all the guys who apparently want in that maybe it didn't make sense to tie up a ship on a kid who won't be able to contribute for a year.

Maybe the coaches are wanting to push his commitment out where he'll count in next year's class.

Maybe, but Cox who enrolled over the 2019 Summer was included in 2019 class.

But we had extra scholarships to give and probably had room to sign him back to the previous year.

This isn't good news at all... it just gives him time to change his mind about coming to Florida

But is it UF choice to assign a player to a particular class? or the NCAA?

Possible that we feel good about Manual qualifying and are just out of numbers?

Depends on how you look at it. If pushing his commitment out a few months allows us to sign a big time player at a position of need that we wouldn't have room for otherwise, it might be worth the risk of him changing his mind.

I believe the school can. I think the max they can assign is 25 per year.

Fraziars balls out at UA game, Hendo commits, Manuel on deck along with some recruiting mo, and Shorter needing to sit. Everything probably got a bit less urgent (on both sides).

If the primary concern/objective is getting his weight down, why would you wait to have him enroll until Summer. Seems to me you'd want to get him in the S&C program as soon as possible.

I'm not saying that's the primary reason, i was just adding that part because there were concerns about how big he had gotten.

I see how I could have confused you when I went back and read what I initially put lol
