Good job by everyone involved in stopping him.

    .

Speaking of serial killers, has anyone else on here watched Dahmer on Netflix? What a complete lunatic that had zero concept of reality.

Lock him up and throw away the key accomplishes the same thing. I think studying the animals makes sense to me.

It’s hard to imagine we’d ever understand the motivation, at least enough to do anything about it.

Well we definitely won’t if we don’t try. I hope we can identify people with this tendency earlier and change their course. The longer a boulder rolls down the hill the harder it is to change its path.

We destroy animals that attack humans.. and they do not have the capacity for understanding or compassion that humans do. When a human shows they no longer have the capacity for compassion or understanding they should be put down. Humanely. But there is no reform for these people.

“Sham state “” like Florida, where Cruz killed 3 times as many? Blame SCOTUS and the Florida Supreme Courts for requiring unanimity, and SCOTUS for requiring that mitigation factors be considered.

Less than 90 days from first Stockton victim. Good work by the police to catch a serial killer.

Unfortunate a thread like this gets immediately politicized when we should all be happy this animal is now off the street.

I never said Florida was any better than Cali in that regard... The death penalty needs to be used in some of these cases.

If I may add to my post. Mitigation factors are largely irrelevant IMHO. The DP is for the worst of the worst. It should not matter why they are because by definition such killers are not happy, we’ll-adjusted people with wonderful childhoods. That definition essentially assumes they were abused, or mentally ill, or whatever. If we’re going to let such killers skate because of mitigation factors, we might as well not have the DP.

That’s not the only reason I’m ambivalent about the DP. Another is the fact innocent people have been executed - enough to be unacceptable IMO. Otherwise, I have no moral opposition to the DP. Some people need to be removed from society, be in by the DP or prison.

Personally, I’d rather be executed than spend my life in a prison.

I really wasn’t thinking of Cali. I’m not even sure if they have it or not. They used to. If they banned it, it may have been for the reasons I stated.

Great news to hear he was caught, but I have to admit I don’t trust OP. I always feel like there is some slick underlying statement he is trying to make. Sorry, it’s just the energy he puts out that makes me paranoid. :emoji_thinking:

I don't think he is going to take your bait, you might try dangling a live bait in front of him. I don't think he is interested in your artificial.

Because it’s a saying? I had the same thought but I doubt these are delicious gourmet meals. Shit on a shingle comes to mind. Basic nutrition warm cold whatever.
