Yea, we decided to stop running. CMW said "guys stop the transition offense, it's working. We need to go back to what I know".

Transition stopped because they lived at the FT line. Hard to run when you're taking the ball out of the net and the other teams defense is set. And we're averaging probably 10 ppg more in conference games this year, the tempo is so much better. Not sure that's the thing to criticize.

If we could hit threes like that all the time we would be undefeated. Not the style it was making those 3's

Which was a byproduct of playing free/scrambling/just making plays vs. our normal O which we overthink so much and slow down tempo too much...

Basically lsu has a short bench, utilizes 6 players. Why not press and wear them down? We have a pretty deep bench why not occasionally press?

We only had like 8 players really and one was playing ill: Andrew, Mann, Glover, Lewis, Payne, Keyontae, Noah and Blackshear. That's a tough lineup to press with to begin with, even more with a guy being ill and another coming off an illness.

I disagree over the course of a game no team can play at that tempo and/or hit threes at a 80-90% rate. Of course you think you know more about basketball than Coach White or most anyone else. Where have you been anyway? I never seem to notice you posting when they are playing well and winning?

They had an atomic clock flown in just for this game. Because LSU is all about integrity.

When Nembhard is in an aggressive attack mode, then the offense works as intended & we're pretty good. In the last ≈ 3 min he had 4 assists & 3 baskets w/in the arc. In the ≈ 11 minutes prior to that, his only positive contribution was 2 free-throws - this stretch includes ≈ 6 min where he totally disappears (could've been on the bench for part of this).

I don't. That's why I used the word "guessing" in my post.

How many wide open and I mean WIDE OPEN shots did we miss during our "slow tempo" phase? When the shots are going-in things look much different. To me it seems like it is more of a confidence issue than anything.

Saw another pic that shows more time on the scoreboard but not on the backboard clock. Did they not sync the clocks?

It's not when the clock ended, it's when the home cooking clock operator "started" the clock on the inbound. We need to look at that.

fwiw I looked at that too, it was fair. The only way we really could have been safe in getting that off was if it had been lobbed or KJ had an exaggerated speed in getting it off, but not sure the angle of the inbound allowed much better.
I just hate that the turd that is their cheating lying obstinate head coach has gotten so many breaks at games end this year, it’s nauseating. I clearly have issues with MW, but he’s an honorable decent guy who has to deal with cheaters like this. It’s everything that’s wrong with the NCAA.

The clock, yes. The time keeper, no. Same with the chains in football.

I don't think KJ got it off in time. However, why is no one discussing the previous play where Scottie knocked the ball out out of the hands of the LSU player on the inbound. I think they should have put more time on the clock than what they did. But oh well, our play is improving rapidly.
Let's hope that CMW allows the guys to play a little more press and uptempo today vs the Fightin' Shiplaps.
