Good luck with that decision. His dribbling skills are high school level. Hope he works really hard and develops in the G league or whatever they call it. Was hoping he could put it together for a year at Florida.
Wish him the best of luck. Maybe someone takes a flier on him in the 2nd round. I'm guessing either way he'll probably be in the G league next year.
Wish him well, he needs to live in the gym and improve that shot.
G League at best. If there were 5-6 rounds he’d maybe go in the late 5th. No jumper and not enough handle.
He had planned this as an April fools joke but turned it over
I’d rather him go pro than transfer. Puts another UF guy in pro ball if not the NBA right away plus I’m getting a complex with all these guys transferring, and I don’t think the transfers are good look at all for MW.
“Wes Chandler was Percy Harvin before Percy Harvin was born.”
So we're down to what, 4 scholarship athletes?
Best of luck Scottie. Are we going to be able to field a team next season? This is getting scary.
Scottie is one of my all time favorite Gator athletes. It pained me to watch his struggles this year. Great talent but just couldn't put things together. Hoping for the best for him. Hopefully he'll find a path to his dream of playing in the NBA.
Glad he was a Gator. A good one that could have become great.
He’s no where close to being ready. Part of that is on him but most of it is on Mike White. Disagree if you want but Mike White is a HUGE problem.
Hopefully this will give Klatsky a chance to step in and contribute
Will be a miracle if next season is not a total dumpster fire. Time for a change. Players know it, why can’t the athletic administration see the writing on the big white board!
0 points/0 assists/1 rebound as his stat line against Oral Roberts in his last game as a Gator leaves a bad taste in my mouth
Stricklin addressed this in his news conference this morning. He said MW is not going anywhere.
Scottie has a bunch of issues but a big one is his age. If he were 18, you'd look at him and believe he'd be a stud at 21. But he's 21 and has a long, long way to go skill wise. This was probably a wise move.
Honestly do you know how this works? If next year Mike White tanks, he is gone. There is zero chance he will return for another year. You think it was a coincidence that Graham Hall wrote that puff piece earlier this week ahead of Stricklin's radio appearance as well as SLewis news today? They knew he wasn't coming back, they were simply trying to get ahead of it. It is called S-P-I-N.
Simply put there is too much noise in the system for him to survive now. Barring a miraculous run next year (I will still cheer for him/team), he will be gone.
I've been following it a long time so yes, I know how it works. Today he left no wiggle room and was straight up about it. I find it bit nonsensical that he would even be considering firing MW. Noise is always in the system but message boards and twitter do not decide when a coach is fired.
what else is he supposed to say? We’re firing him 16 days?
