Let me make sure I understand. What you are telling me is that if the CR passes then the GOP will immediately move to discuss extending the ACA? Come on man. I am with you however. Democtats should pass the CR and just kick their feet up on their desks and wait for the next GOP excuse to appear

The shutdown isn’t why rural hospitals are closing - it was the stripping of Medicaid in Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill - same as cuts in Medicaid.

Try to at least act like you’re informed….

Many Americans were forced to change their healthcare since it became unaffordable thanks to Barry

I guess Republicans love the filibuster more than funding the government

As I have said numerous times the ONLY way a liberal compromises is for the conservatives to move to the left. I would like to think the Pubs would be strong and continue to hold out, however, they have always folded in the past. and Yes tas, this still sits in the dems lap. There were a couple of defections by dems yesterday, we will just have to wait and see, who blinks.

Trump promised to reveal his plan 2 weeks ago... over 200 weeks ago. If Obamacare is so bad, why do we have zip, zilch, and zero ideas from our current Admin to replace it? Who knew healthcare could be so hard?

You'd think someone in the Trump administration would have something by now. But they don't. And without the ACA subsidies, tens of thousands of Americans may be priced out of affording health insurance. Is that the R plan?

It would be impossible to spell out the GOP healthcare plan since it is forever two weeks away from coming out.

tas is way to the left, I asked him what he wanted in a Healthcare plan. Since you are on the left too, coleg, why don't you say what you want in a healthcare plan

I want to see the one Kayleigh McEnany had in her hands. When are we going to get to see this?

How about a means -tested assortment of plans that allow for very healthy, perhaps young people, to choose high deductibles, and those with families to opt for lower deductibles since they face multiples of them. There should be considerations for those with pre-existing conditions. Oh wait.... we've had that until the Big Ugly Bill mostly shot it down.
Ok, now Bill what is the plan the Pubs (you) want?

I chose a high deductible on my wife’s plan- when I retired and went to Medicare I chose the F plan

I favor allowing people to choose whatever plan they can afford to pay for- I do think there were way too many people scamming medicaid .

I do think it is despicable that Schumer is orchestrating this shut down over a continuing resolution, which means we keep spending levels at the current level and not the $1.6 billion Schumer and the dems want to add. Schumer is afraid of AOC running for his seat in the Senate so he is all for the shutdown

Note that 1.6 billion is 2.4 one hundreths of one percent of the budget. It is estimated to do massive damage to the healthcare options for needy Americans. The Big Ugly bill transfers 39.6 billion dollars annually to those making 1 million or more.
