At the front, he's a 3rd round better next season if he plays his cards right. He provides more punch in between the tackles than Davis and Lemmoms, and is more explosive than Perine.

Scarlett might be the best back in the SEC. Word is hes put on about 20 explosive pounds, and showed up to testing in stupid shape.

DM uses a combination of bruising back down the middle and scatback. DM has tons of film to see that Scarlett is the best back for one role.

I could be wrong, but what I saw of him at MSU he did not appear to be the type to make a player earn his way back after an already long suspension. I wish we had Alabama depth at RB for players to be challenged for off field behavior, but Scarlett is just too good with no certainty of Davis playing or Perine developing unexpectedly.

The wildcard would be if Scarlett isn't picking up the new system or doesn't dedicate himself to blocking (not just passing but running). That could be a deal breaker for DM.

Mullen is all about competition. The best competitor will start. They will spread the reps out so the RBS are fresher at the end of the game so we can compete with our opponent.

It's so much better complaining about depth than the lack thereof.

Toney and Massey at QB/RB/ WR and EJ at QB. Cleveland at WR. Lewis, Gamble and Pitts at TE, hmmmm.... Add Copeland, Watkins and the WR transfers, not to mention who we already have... Hmmm again...
That could be a very dangerous offense. It could be a 500yd. per game offense, seriously!! Mullen and Co. might want to design some plays for the triple option/ wishbone offense. Think about what it would be like if Georgia Tech had those players in their offense. A nightmare for opposing defenses, perhaps?

Im happy to see him back. Thought he was special and we are lights out already with our running backs. If Davis returns to form Id take our running backs over UGAs and gumps this year.

I believe that is a new position. Halfback, fullback and allowed back.
