An NIT team unless they make a good run and win 20-22 range.

Up 5 with 4 to play and get beat by 6-7 points???

Myers kid that we made look like a star missed two big free throws late and then shot an air ball.

All that being said they'll probably beat us at their place too.

4-5 seed slips to 6-7 area with bad losses like this.

Just like f$u, the physical (football) teams give us trouble. Just have to hope not to run into a team like that in the tourney

Not sure I agree. They played a good team very close. What beat use was their defense in our face on the three point line and the magical O Dome that somehow gives opposing team players record nights and the ability to rain 3s.

Everything isn't a good win or bad loss. USC is a run of the mill average team. The loss doesn't help or hurt us. It is just a loss against a team we are better than like every other team has in conference play

4-line remains the goal, and that goal is still well within reach. But yeah, it wasn’t a good look, a definite head scratcher. We bounced back well today though, 2 wins next week and it’s nothing but an afterthought.

I'm happy with our win today, and less concerned about USC losing.

SC is a pretty good team, nothing more, nothing less. Get over it already.

I forget when, but I remember posting here early in the year that this team would win a couple games we perhaps wouldn't expect (@uk) and lose a couple it "should" win (USC).
It's the kind of team that can shoot anyone off the floor... and struggle with just about any team. It is what it is.

Only to you. Right now they were 48 in RPI. Nobody looks at the resume and circles a top 50 RPI loss as a negative. Sub 100? Sure.

The SEC is a very good conference this year and almost any team can beat another, especially when they shoot off the charts from 3 and are able to foul consistently without calls, taking us out of our game. A loss like this might be good for a team labeled "soft" earlier in the year, maybe we'll come out hungrier and more aggressive when we play them again on the road.

Worst thing about our loss to South Carolina was that it was on our home floor. That is what makes it a bad loss. Lose to an average team on the road, it happens from time to time but you can’t lose to average teams at home and expect to win the conference or be considered a top rated seed in the tournament.
