That is generally not what economics would say, over the short-term at least, but I will point out that reducing hours for those at the lower end of the income scale might actually be a good thing for many. Let's say that you are a single parent trying to raise a kid on 2 minimum wage jobs. If you could get close to the same amount of money while gaining an extra 10 hours per week to take care of your physical and mental health, spend more time with your child, job training/education, etc., that would be a huge benefit to them.

It's disappointing, but at least he seems intent on figuring it out.

I mean, to be clear, they're working 60 hour weeks and they negotiated to a salary, not an hourly wage. $36,000 a year isn't great, but it's still more than most teachers in Alachua county are paid (and I don't know many teachers who put in under 60 hours when all is said and done).

If he wants to keep them working full tilt and put his money where his mouth is, well, he has the money to do it.

Agree. While Bernie may be somewhat of a hypocrite, keep in mind that his campaign workers aren't working for him to primarily earn money to support their families; they're motivated much by political ideology and personal admiration for Bernie than by economic need. If the Bern is to be criticized for hypocrisy his hypocrisy pales into insignificance when compared to that of Donald Trump. Trump has made illegal immigration the cornerstone of his campaign and his presidency while his organization has had a long history of hiring illegals. Similarly, Trump has made unfair trade practices one of his campaign issues while importing products manufactured overseas and especially China for sale under the Trump brand. He has also used imported steel and aluminum in the construction of his building because it was less expensive than US steel and aluminum. While he has apparently ceased doing both, it's only because of exposure by the "fake" media that he changed course.

The interesting part for me will be to see how many of his staffers actually learn from this lesson...

But you do not work in this situation. You will not make more and still work the same but get to pay more for or receive less service in obtaining goods and services.

    Still work for you?

Yeah works for me. I'd rather work 30 hours per week at $15 per hour than 40 hours per week at $11.25 per hour. In each case I make $450 per week. No brainer.

Seems to be working fine here in Seattle. Passed in 2015 and my city still has more construction cranes than your city. If $15/hour has resulted in less growth, then if it hadn't passed I figure we'd be about the size of NYC by now, so you could be right about $15 being bad for business...but you probably aren't.
