Dude, the original thread title on this was something about Joe Biden getting money from this guy. The OP eventually edited it. That's why there was so much pushback on it at the beginning. It was a bipartisan problem

The OP created this thread to drag only Joe Biden for taking contributions. Are you going to ask the OP why he hasn't called out Republicans for taking contributions, too?

Interesting how the right-wing media especially Fox News has changed it's narrative on Bankman-Fried's political contributions. The original narrative was that Bank-Fried's contributions, and as pointed out were not limited to Democratic politicians although that was a big part of the narrative, were protecting him from legal action by the DOJ. Now that Bankman-Fried has been indicted the new narrative is that DOJ and the Biden Administration accelerated the process to prevent Bankman-Fried from testifying before Congress. According to the Fox News talking heads Bankman-Fried would have sang like the proverbial bird if he testified before Congress. The absurdity of that narrative is that Bankman-Fried whether indicted or not would have never provided any substantive testimony since it was very likely that he would be invoking the 5th if he did appear.

To both Orange and blue and War, no need to call the op as he changed title and called out both sides once more info came available. But the beginning of thread was nothing but defending Biden until you all knew you could through some dirt on pubs also. Doesn't surprise me though as many of you live in this echo chamber and just bloviate to each other about how great the dems are while how evil the pubs are. FoxNews is nothing but fabricated but some internet site you believe in is absolute truth. Just comical how some of you are so well educated but so gullible to your side. This goes for both sides and me at times.

I don't see anyone defending Biden other than pointing out that SBF gave equally to both parties so the OP was wrong to try to make this about Biden. He eventually agreed and changed the title ... It's hilarious that you are ranted about how gullible the other side is -- in a thread started by your team where the OP eventually admitted making this into a partisan attack was wrong...

A lot of Republicans thought that this guy was god and a significant albeit dwindling number still do.

good start, many need to do more

Democrats set aside donations from ex-FTX CEO Bankman-Fried (msn.com)

The three primary committees charged with electing Democrats said Friday that they would set aside more than $1 million in donations this election cycle from disgraced crypto mogul Samuel Bankman-Fried, who is accused of making tens of millions of dollars in illegal campaign donations.

In a statement Friday, DNC spokesman Daniel Wessel said that the group will set aside the $815,000 in contributions it has received from Bankman-Fried since 2020. That total includes donations Bankman-Fried made directly to the DNC as well as the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund and the Biden Victory Fund, which was a joint fundraising committee approved by Joe Biden's presidential campaign, the DNC and state Democratic parties. “We will return as soon as we receive proper direction in the legal proceedings,” Wessel said.
    .............................
Many lawmakers said in response to queries from the Associated Press that they will donate Bankman-Fried's contributions to charity. Some lawmakers, similar to the campaign committees, are setting aside the money until further legal guidance.
    .............................
“During my most recent campaign I received unsolicited contributions from the company’s principal Samuel Bankman-Fried," Rep. Jim Costa, D-Calif., said in an e-mailed statement Friday. “It is my intention to return or donate all the funds received. I will hold the funds in a separate account while we await guidance from legal counsel before proceeding.”
