With the solid play of Miller at LB, look for Burney to move to S. Two weeks to adjust.
One thing for sure is that someone other than Taylor needs to play safety - as JT struggled all night against Miami.
Yeah I really like jt good kid and has been great with recruits but he misses so many tackles and is out of position a lot maybe couple of weeks will help him
Thank the gods for the Randy Shannon specials. His recruiting is helping more than we ever knew.
Ugh, sounds lost. Yes, hope it improves. We all want our players to experience great success. We don't have the depth to "next man up" really.
Makes a ton of sense for sure. Not sure it happens but most wish it would. Miller and Houston need time especially Miller.
Taylor had a bad game, it doesn't mean he should immediately be benched.
Burney was basically a no-show, so I don't see how he would win the safety job.
Give everyone another week of practice and competition to sort it out.
Lots more hesitation by players on D than I would have expected at the back end.
Schedule works out nice to see if the kinks can be worked out.
Davis played well. Clearly the most vicious tackler in the secondary
Has Houston ever not hit someone out of bounds? Every game is a PF.
Burney didn’t get that many snaps. Not sure why.
Are you saying the coaches didn’t buy into all the internet hype?
Miller was the starter against UM, not Burney as we had been led to believe since the Spring. After his performance, no way Miller isn't the starter from here on out.
Miller had 51 snaps to Burney’s 18.
He packs a wallop and is all over the place. Probably could gain a few ticks on his 40 time if he got a trim. lol
We missed CGJ back there making calls and moving people and tackling.
The staff will sort it out. I’d love to see Burney get a shot at star and Dean move to safety with Dean, Davis and Stewart competing for playing time. Dean could always slide down to corner if necessary. Burney was almost a non-factor on his LB debut on the plays where I tried to watch him.
Brenton Cox's availability would have a lot to do with this:
