**** S Josiah Davis Commits to UF

Three stars right now. Not much on him yet but 11.21 100m is a good start. If UF coaches went all the way to Nashville for him, he must be the real deal.

 

50 yard average of return with seven tds last year. Not elite speed but for some reason he’s in the endzone quite often

 

He will be a threat to the endzone every int he gets. His highlights are fun to watch. Gotta love a S with ball skills. Looks to be a good tackler also.

Similar to Gates in 23 class. Both look like great all around football players in all 3 phases of the game.

For whatever reason, there are times when players are severely undervalued. This was clearly the case with 2-star Brandon James and Urban having to get talked into to even offering him. I don’t know anything about this kid (and wouldn’t trust my amateur judgement even if I did), but if 50 yards per return is accurate, my interest is perked.

 

Not elite speed and private school competition.

 

Thanks. There must be some ostensible reason that the big boys aren’t after him, but again the big boys are occasionally wrong. Sometimes slower players from small schools can still light up the scoreboard in the sec.

 

He has about the same speed in sprints as Eugene Wilson who is a year older. We and everybody else including UGA and Bama are only going to have 2 or so elite speed guys each year if that. Mizell isn't even an elite speed guy by 100 standards which means little in football. Brandon James was not an elite sprinter.

 

Kid will rise big time. At this time last year he’s ranked higher than J. Jackson. Not saying he’s the same but he’ll be a major riser.
