What is with the connection between the NRA and Russia? Did the leaders of the NRA sit around and say "Gosh, who best help us defend Second Amendment rights in the United States? Wait, I know! The Russians!"

Web of elite Russians met with NRA execs during 2016 campaign

    Makes sense.

The NRA is just looking for freedom loving groups like the Russians to help Americans keep the govt from taking our guns.

I have a question: do you know the difference between speculation and fact?

    Perhaps that's because:

"What is with the connection between the NRA and Russia?
Doesn't strike as a good faith, sincere inquiry type of question (especially when followed up with snarky smart ass sarcasm), nearly as much as it reeks of a rhetorical question--which usually means, the poser--that is, the person posing the question (asker?) has a point to make.

If so, would you kindly spare us the *river dance*, and just make your point?

Maybe then we'll have something to respond to.

Maybe Mueller can just have his team cut and paste the newspaper articles on this for more indictments like he did with the Russian troll indictments. :D

My guess is NRA will take anyone’s money in order to support candidates that will refuse any and all gun measures. Obama and Clinton are the real threats. Not Russians. Enemy of my enemy etc....

Maybe the NRA was just negotiating to buy one of the stashes of WWII Mosin-Nagants the Russians greased and buried after the war.

Heck Hillary and the DNC were actually giving money to the Russians through Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to help interfere with our election.

I did. The crux of it is "the NRA met with Russians" and "they donated tons of money to Republicans in the 2016 election."

Everything else was "may" and "might" etc.

Hence the question, whether you knew the difference. It does not appear that you do; or you didn't read the article very well before rushing to post it.

There is evidence of a connection between the NRA and Russia. That seems odd to me given the NRA's mission of gun rights in the US. Can anyone explain why the NRA has made that connection?

Why don't you speculate, ev? Any ideas about the intersection of the NRA and various Russians?

I dont know why the NRA met with the Russians, maybe it was to support gun ownership in Russia(this is an attempt to post something ridiculous) The question is did after the meeting the NRA change its actions. I dont think the NRA did but I am willing to look at the evidence and potentiall change my mind.
