Unfortunately, probably true. At this point we are hoping for some wins and to hold the class together. The staff has to look like they can coach, regardless of NIL money.
I believe it matters to recruits. You might believe losing three of our last four games will help recruiting. It won't. Staffs have to have legitimacy and wins are part of that.
Ahh so its just something you believe. Because your post that I commented on said “at this point we are hoping for wins to hold this class together” as if it were a fact or something. Now that you have clarified, I see that in fact your post is a statement of fact at all, and just your insecurities about the season showing
don't agree. for the first time in years, uf has matched the arms race on every level. add in a great location, a top 5 public university, and a top 5 athletics program, it is easy to see a football team returning to greatness in a short time. oklahoma lost games but is still putting together a top recruiting class. recruits are more interested in happy with a chance to become an impact rather than losses at a location that has all of the cards uf is holding. i expected 6-6 or 7-5 so uf is on schedule.
Oh I did think about that, I'm just betting that, in this case, the NCAA should be less corrupt than these sites owned by Noles and butt sniffers that surely take money and have hate bias. NCAA could also be held accountable with the right rules. That's why I figured at the end of the HS season they make all the individual lists available to every school to audit reducing possibility of manipulation.
To me it's simple. Winning would help hold the class together and more likely help us add commits. But, if losing will produce a top 5 class we should tank the last four games.
The truth is somewhere in the middle... We cannot get blown out by inferior teams and our DBs cannot look totally lost like they did against LSU. That was all on coaching. We have far better talent than some people think and we have to beat the teams that we should beat. Now do I think we have to beat every team left, no, but it sure would be nice to see...
and those guys may want to get a big deal too if they’re deemed as instant impact transfers so yea, we’re gonna have to be on it HARD

Need a plan for the money or it runs out quick with all the hands out, purchases, homes, boats, cars, jewelry, clothes, electronics, sneakers, …treating my at bars, … and then you suddenly don’t have the money to pay property tax, insurance, … later. Also, you get sued, lawyers, financial advisors, IRS taxes, family members and baby mommas all take a cut. Invest in businesses that go under like restaurants, bars, …
Who seriously thinks it's likely we're going to lose three of four of upcoming games, assuming we go to a middling bowl game? Talk about worst case hypotheticals.
With NIL, you have to realize the big money recruits that dont pan out will make the check writer gun shy. Think atm (how fitting are those initials) is going to pay 30 million for another #1 class?
