My first wife' grandparents lived in Stockbridge, GA. Spent a lot of time over a lot of years in that place, it's really cool. These guys are from there.

Enough love for our friends and neighbors from poodle country, time to bring it back home.

UF grad Walter Salas-Humara and his band the Silos singing about some familiar landscape.

FYI, I barely scratched the surface with bands from Georgia.

The Vulgar Boatman with a rare appearance by cofounder, UF film professor Robert Ray. He and Walter Salas-Humara started the band together in the early 80s.

Can't discuss eighties music without mention of "Madchester."

More from Lancashire UK, the center of the rock and roll universe from the late seventies till the early nineties. You would have to combine Athens, Austin and Seattle to measure the impact that scene had on independent rock.

Remastering and sound processing are wonderful things. Moon and Entwistle are insane good.

These guys are coming to Ocala. Saw them when I was in HS at the old Met Center, now the site of the Mall of America in Bloomington MN.
