Yeah.. this should be an apology and move on tupe of thing.

RGIII seems like a good dude and has landed on his feet after a terrible injury railroaded his playing career.

I personally like him on games (though I know the complainers in game threads always rip every single announcer).

    But context and source matter.
This isnt a game ender for me.

Not a big deal to me. Honestly don’t even know if I’ve heard of the term before this.

For those In Living Color fans, just an Oswald Bates moment.

Its sort of a reference to a dancing/jungle insinuated insult/slur.... Often used by older types who think it sounds better than more frowned upon words

Agree on both accounts. Let it go and I enjoy his enthusiasm in the cfb broadcasts.

I never heard that term before. If I had heard it live on TV I'd have no idea what it meant.

Not as classic as Bizzare Ride I! I know the song well, had no idea it was some kind of slur.

I have a good 90s rap story. When I was 16 I worked in an upscale outdoor retail store. Think rich white folks buying North Face jackets for their private school kid. I was closing one night and we had about an hour till close. The manager let me pick a CD to put on over the store speakers and I asked if a hip hop album would be okay. She was young and cool and said "sure as long as the cursing is pretty minimum." So I picked Midnight Marauders. When track 5 came on over the speakers I had to make a mad dash to the CD player.....

When we told my grandmother she had to stop using the n-word around us, that "j" term is what she started using. Oh ... the memories....

Senior wokeness is using even more obscure and archaic racial slurs, maybe its the best we can hope for

I’m one of those people that do not know lyrics or song titles. I’ll hum along to a song but if i try to sing it I’m making up words…

I've become one of those guys now that music is more disposable and plentiful, but back when CDs cost real money and I had much more time on my hands to repeat listen, I definitely remembered lyrics and song titles that I will (probably) never forget.

I've heard my grandma say that word once when I was a kid. Never heard, and never would think, she would say the n word. In fact, I've never heard her use a slur except for that one time. I guess that's why it stuck with me.

That's the first, and last last time, I've heard it. Well, until now.

I had something similar happen as an elementary school teacher. The good thing was that the CD was chosen by children, not me, and that it occurred during talent show tryouts before school and not during a music class. Then again, there was that one act that did make it onto the talent show .
