I saw that feeding today, awesome. I only saw one other egg, wonder what happened to third.
Osprey update- Little bird about 6 inches tall now. Growing like crazy. Wings still very small. Flying lessons start in about 3-4 weeks. Only see one other egg. May have lost one.

In my front yard, I have a very tall (30') palm trunk with no head on it - it died from Fusarium Wilt disease a couple years ago and I just left the tall skinny trunk as habitat for local wildlife. Aside from many different woodpeckers.....on a regular basis I see an Osprey perched atop. Sometimes with a fish in it's talons. I think they come there to rest a bit before moving on to their next stop. Once I found one of their fish laying on the ground below. I left it and it was gone the next day. They are really cool birds of prey!
Right now there's a nest with 4 eggs in one of my Petunia hanging baskets hanging off the back patio canopy. Carolina Wren! I'm going to be a grandpa!
Parent is feeding the baby right now. Surprised that the second egg hasn’t hatched yet. Wouldn’t think it would be so far behind the first. Wonder if it just isn’t going to.
Couple pics of my resident Osprey.......
Mom feeding baby this morning. Don't see the 2nd egg anymore.
A "Name the Chick" campaign has started. Open web camera link for info.

I only see one chick. Is that another egg I see down at the bottom of the nest?
If you guys are big into ospreys, Boulder, CO (where I live) has a live stream of a local nest set up. They’re expecting a new baby osprey soon.
Osprey Cam Live!
lunch-catch of the day.
By chance, was it dolphin?
Is lion being served Friday?
Owl, maybe, or dolphin again Saturday?
Poor kid. He’ll be scarred for life. I can hear the other kids making fun of him now.
Fluff Butt. Sheesh.
I suggested “Sully”

A question for the Osprey experts. I just started checking out the nest and there is always just one adult present. Just curious why. Hey Bazza-they are catching some nice fish-looks like bass-where is the nearest body of water from there.
Lake Alice is less than a mile away from the nest.
The Dad will fly in for a visit on occasion. Saw all three of them together not too long ago. On the weekend of course. The second egg must have been still hatched.
