The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test was the perfect book at that perfect time!

Two thirds of everybody either had it in their place, or carried it with them, and I don't know how many replicas of the "Magic Bus" appeared, complete with the "Kool-Aid Cooler"

It's sad.... Who is gonna carry the mantle of "Gonzo Journalism" forward?

My first exposure to Wolfe was reading " The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby" During sophomore Humanities at Florida.

Great read! I enjoyed it in, I believe, '68 or '69.

Bonfire of the Vanities was a fine novel, but the movie was absurd and did great disservice to the book.
