I know most remember him from SNL, but his guest spots on The Middle were great.

Amazing deadpan delivery. Could turn something like the OJ murders or a bad Burt Reynolds impression into comedy.

He was was favorite "Weekend Update" guy of all time. Perfect delivery for the "fake news".

He was also pretty damn smart, he was on Celebrity "Who wants to be a Millionaire" and made it to the million dollar question, he knew the right answer and said it few times, but Regis talked him out of it and he took the $500,000 for charity.

He was the SNL generation I grew up on. Weekend update was epic then.

He was my all time favorite. His last stand up special on Netflix was amazing and his roast of Bob Saget was legendary. I had no idea he was facing this battle. He didn't have a driver's license and used to fly a female friend of mine to his shows in Florida to "hang out." Super quirky guy. RIP

    Seems fitting

“I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer also dies at exactly the same time. So that to me, that’s not a loss. That’s a draw,”

This is a great clip from David Spade show where he had Dennis Miller, Kevin Nealon, and Norm on his show as guests. I'm not sure I've ever seen three former Weekend Update hosts on the same show at the same time. Skip to about the 2:15 mark to get a great sense of Norm's approach to comedy by the story Dennis Miller tells about him and OJ jokes.

Dang. Not my guy Norm, man. Just looking at his facial expressions was enough to make a skit funny.
