In case you are keeping track, that is:

    Barrett Sallee
    Matt Barrie
    Jesse Palmer
    Me

Anyone else want to start a thread about someone they know who thinks AR should be starting?

You are spot on, Rick. IMHO, this is the first year for both EJ and AR in this offense. Most of Emory's experience had been running the ball. If he is going to be successful we need to run a lot more option.

Never coached at any significant level but think that 10 plays executed well (with different formations and changing looks) is better than 100 plays trying to confuse the other team.

EJ seems to be in the FF mode: “I have to do these six things to make this play successful” and typically never gets to #3 because of all the variables. He looks stiff and unconfident. Not a winning scenario for anyone.

This might be easier if we make a list of those who don’t think AR should start.

AR may not start, but he will play the lion's share of the game on Saturday.
CDM kept AR out of the game for the most part yesterday because he didn't want Saban to have much tape on him or his tendencies. imho
CDM has kept the playbook very very vanilla; we haven't passed to the TEs or the RBs much at all the first two games.
CDM hopes to shock and awe Bama on Saturday!

Perhaps, but if EJ keeps throwing stupid interceptions, that will make things much worse for our defense.

Dude you beat me to it. I was just about to start this thread SjB612 thinks AR should be starting. Damn, how did you know?

How do we know he will be ready and able and even if he plays will the hammy hamstring him?

I trust Mullen to dial-up enough love that end of game we had enough points to win. The key will be what else needed to happen but did not, like Defense plays lights out. Know what I mean?

This is incorrect. EJ has thrown almost as much as he has run.
