In two games vs < avg teams, AR15 has taken over in 8 series.

    5 led to TDs
1 ended when his helmet came off near goal line and he was replaced, no score.
1 ended w/ EJ on incomplete pass
1 was late vs fau throwing bombs to Willie Jackson's walk on grandson, then run out clock

As the 4 usf fans behind me said yesterday, you Gators have a "generational quarterback, a better version of Cam Newton (in 2010)" One said, "his only flaw is he takes your team to immediate scores which will wear out your defense...ha ha"

He is a true generational talent. He could do for us what Tebow did. He is that good and could be that important to our success the next few years.

Obvious to everyone but he probably doesn’t have full grasp of the playbook yet.

Apparently he does more things wrong than EJ, since Mullen does not make decisions based on loyalty or seniority.

My gut says with enough reps EJ could be a championship-level QB next year. And that with same reps AR could maybe get there this year.

Problem is our defense will not reach championship level under Grantham. A decision I've finally come to after seeing how our defensive players are so poorly coached. The pandemic excused year is gone and still so many fundamental mistakes that have little to do with scheme.

AR does something wrong...turns into a 75 yard TD run or 50 yard TD pass.

Emory does something wrong...turns into a pick directly into a defender's chest.

They spend time in fall working up and prepping a plan for Bammer. Once that's over, AR is going to get his chance with the way EJ is struggling. Mullen isn't giving him opportunities because he doesn't want him to play.

    It'll work out.

Quoting Lee McGriff( I don't know what he does wrong, but I am real clear on what he does right.) Go Gators!

You know...our (the Gators') playbook, supposedly, is so big that according to Cubelic and Rodgers that none of our QBs are even into last years passing plays as much as they are into an entirely different part of the book. IOW, we're teaching a new set of plays for this year. It might not be entirely the case, but they made it sound that way.

If I were Mullen I'd do what UGA did this past week and go back to the passing game with those same passing plays to help EJ out some, after all he spent 3 years learning that part of the play book.

Also I'd get Del Rio and Kitna practicing that part of the playbook too... as in practice right now.
