He’s definitely gotten better.
Was impressed by EJ’s brief performance in Auburn game 2 years ago, but last year and Sat. night not so much. Listening to late afternoon G’ville sports show this PM, the host who has practice privileges, said EJ’s passing ability has not improved over the last 3 years. If there is any validity to this, what were Mullen and his QB coach(recently departed) thinking. Regardless of what Mullen wants in QB, it’s pass first, run second in today’s college game. Did we take a QB in the 2020 recruiting class?
You ever heard of a guy named Peyton Manning? He threw ducks and still did pretty well in the NFL.
Regardless, Tebow did not throw a lot of ducks. Nice tight spirals for the most part. He was a prolific passer in college. One of the best ever at the time he graduated.
Earnest Graham wasn’t the fastest, but once he broke through the line with the ball in his hand, seemed like nobody could catch him.
that 30 yard pass was under thrown and the guy had no one near him for 15 yards in any direction.
Lsu is 5-6 in their last 11 games? If we lose to them the season will probably be thought of as underperforming.
This was in my suggested videos. He is moving for a kid his size and he's not afraid of contact. He hit an extra gear on that long run.
Alabama looks tough
Rest are 100% winnable
Of the top five speedsters measured in week one AR is the only QB. Pretty darn good.
It's great to have a QB on the roster with the physical gifts that AR clearly has. But all the physical comparisons with TT miss a crucial point. I know it's early but I'm watching to see the heart of this kid. I want to see if he is a natural leader. I want to see if he can take a team on his shoulders and will them to victory like Tim Tebow. I realize it's just the beginning but if.....IF Anthony Richardson has anywhere near the heart, leadership and just brute will to win that TT had we are witnessing the beginning of another great story.
They don't call CDM the Quarterback Whisperer for no reason. He has got to manage two young egos with care. I trust him to handle both with skill. The last thing we need is kids taking sides in the locker room. I don't care what CDM says to the media. I know he saw the same things we saw last Saturday night. It will be interesting to watch how this plays out. I hope he can keep both of them happy and in Gainesville.
Just to play devil's advocate; who is the proven #2?
The thing I noticed about him was how shifty he is for man 6'4" at 240lbs.. And his top end football speed.
Just look at how fast he really runs... He ran the fifth fastest speed of anyone in all of college football last weekend. But he's also the biggest and heaviest of the bunch too, by far.
#CFB's Top 5 Max Speeds of the Week
1. ECU RB@_Keaton Mitchell, 22.6 MPH
2. ALA WR@bigsgjamo, 22.3 MPH
3. IOWA RB@tgood1110, 22.1 MPH
4. TA&M RB@ffvmousvon_, 21.6 MPH
5. UF QB@GVOaant, 21.6 MPH
Mmmm, losing those 2 obvious games and beating Kentucky and LSU will not be remarkable nor a bad season.
I’m hoping for better but I’m more worried about Kentucky than LSU
With a ball. He looks pretty damn fast.
You caught tgat too?
Riiight. ‘Practice privileges’ Not a word til now? Deer lowered
Folks need to chill and calm down.
Carlos Del Rio in the QB room now.
I think Tebow gets a bad rep on not being a great passer in college simply because his style of running was not normal for Qb’s. Along with his passing mechanics being downright ugly and so slow looking ….. He had to baseball almost every throw. Obviously it worked it just wasn’t pretty
I think half the people criticizing Tebow's motion are mindlessly parroting all the talking heads narrative. Kind of made it their own. Don't recall much talk of it when he was balling out in the Orange and Blue.
