It’s alarming on many levels. It says this was a govt report. So… let’s say hypothetically submitted to Congress as part of congressional testimony. If a person knowingly submits a “testimony” to Congress loaded with fabricated AI slop is that perjury? It’s hard to see how it wouldn’t be. In a research setting it would be blatant academic fraud.
