Yeah. Only 2 of the first 9 who can and will contribute came with CBN, and Mincey is starting for UTk. Plenty of bodies to compete for pt. We can run and pass protect with them. We are in good shape overall. They just need the consistent desire to maul and do their assignments. They lost some one on one matchups, but 600 yards speaks for itself.
Not sore what the percentage is, but getting 50 percent of your starters from one recruiting class is likely a good stat. The question is the quality of those starters. All conference first or second team? Drafted in NFL in first or second round? Or Simply the best of the worst.
You know you are hurting when the player whose performance best matches his high recruiting expectations is your punter.
For the sake of optimism, I will slightly hi-jack this thread and add this regarding the 2022 class: The top 5 rated true freshmen are all playing quite a bit, and playing well. That's an early data point that CBN can identify talent at this level. Reflecting back on this thread, and reviewing that last several classes....we've whiffed quite a bit recently with our top 5-7 recruits. Onward.
Clearly need to give him 4 years to totally install offense and defense, have players with 2-3 years in his system, and more importantly get players that fit his system more effectively
