Good grief why so antagonistic? People aren't claiming that is what happened. Did you even see the holding called on Marshall? The announcers were speechless. It's unfair to the kid playing. Once is unfortunate but more than one is a disservice to a kid who is doing his job on the field. You know the same kids you stand up for over and over for at every turn yet for some reason it's disregard the kid and attack the fans now.

He takes this game as seriously as Spurrier & Urban (atleast after 07) did. It's personal for him. Even with all that, they still were trying ti give that game away (even last year). Just not enough talent & DEPTH for Napier to take it.

I’m not attacking any fans nor am I being antagonistic, you really need to calm down. I simply said fans of losing teams always feel like they got jobbed by the refs. Do the refs make bad calls? Of course. It’s part of the game but not something exclusive to one particular team.

Overall no but we have been jobbed by refs more often than not. I don't believe in some overall conspiracy but there can be inherent biases. And often times these penalties or non penalties have absolutely affected our games. Even the Bama game last year. A drive extending pass interference that lead to a touchdown in the first half was again met by silence from the announcers and then acknowledgement that it was a terrible call.

Also how many times has AR been tackled low in the pocket with no flag yet in the Kentucky game we were called for one that lead to a TD.

And calm down? It's a message board and it's a discussion but your remarks are going to illicit a response since you rarely if ever post here unless it's to contradict opinions usually in condescending fashion.

And FTR I don't mind contradiction at all. Echo chambers are boring but there are constructive ways of doing it.

There are exceptions to the rule. "The Swindle" is a good example. Both teams were well stocked with future NFL players. It was a very close game because the Gators never let the bad calls stop them. However, there too many close calls to overcome.

The game yesterday did have some questionable calls and even some very blanketly bad calls. These calls did not dictate the outcome of the game. UGA has many star players that are proven veteran college players and more than a few will be going to the NFL.

That experience forever jaded me on college football refs. The only hope for approaching unbiased officiating is to shitcan the concept of conference refs altogether. Eliminate all financial impact on their wallets of the outcome of the game. Then all you’re left with is personal bias, which can probably be managed better than what we see today

The swindle along with the Dallas baker PF after getting slapped by the Tennessee player literally in front of the refs did me in on the idea of "impartial" refs. The came the auburn game in 06. We have been on the wrong end of too many horrific calls.

Not to mention the DL hit to AR in the back on the dead play play whistle. Kirby is a bitch, almost like he spent time in tally with the noles.

Exactly those two plays. And yes, doering once received a PF for slightly High stepping into the endzone but so many players from other teams have somersaulted or done Gator chomps with no flag...

Didn't one of our RB get a flag for celebrating with the band after scoring? Think it was Rhett in the Miss St game?

Yes. We have a long history of one sided calls. Not that we haven't had some break our way but we have sooo many examples to choose from.

Spurrier used to comment about the disparity in calls when games involved certain teams, mostly auburn, Bama and Tennessee though. Again, I'm more into the belief there are biases than conspiracies although the swindle had a clear conspiracy potential as the ACC benefited greatly from that victory. Without it they would be shut out from any major payout bowls that year.

If you want to play the "Take away game", you need to look at the very lucky pass completion that UGA got in the first half. I saw the replay this morning. The Gator defender was committing pass interference on that play. One the ball was in the air, two he had his back to the ball (not playing for the ball), Three, he was making physical contact before the ball got there. There was no call on this play. upload_2022-10-30_11-15-8.png

How about all the late hits on Danny in our loss to fsu..never called in that game...poor Danny took a beating..but we did get even lol
I don't think AR could take the hits Danny did...did Danny miss any games due to injury? I can't think of any..AR seems fragile

You're talking about both players handfighting. Contact is legal. Back to the ball does not matter in college. If this is the same play the guy made the reception. Nice still shot though. Get a rule book.
