We may be without JG and JZ for a while. High ankle sprains (JG) are notoriously hard to shake. They reported that JZ was in the X-ray room. Hope we can get some pressure next week.

High ankle sprains take months to fully heal. Zuniga and Greenard are likely out the next month. Definitely not back next week

It is really just horrid luck. Arguably our 3 biggest playmakers from the opening game have almost never been on the field together since. And now all 3 may be out. Ugh

Find a way to win next week, with I am sure a nice help from our glorious ex, and then spend time healing up and scheming for the second half. The O-line and LBr play is what I am most worried.

Now Houston and Miller killed us against the run. Watching a handful of highlights its clear they were slow playing the run to make sure the QB gave up the ball. Not sure why they didn’t commit to stop the run in the gaps and cause a bounce by the ball carrier. The inside LBs were in no man’s land against the pass they didn’t alter any of the throws by undercutting the routes or applying pressure. Kinda like playing 9 on 11 with Burrow pitching it around like a pass skeleton practice period

I think Houston and Miller started to adjust at the end, but, it was too late. There were too many weapons to defend against... accurate passer, good scrambler, great route runners with sure hands, good running game, and they threw them all at us with little pressure from the replacement defensive ends. Can't defend everything perfectly, I guess.

With Zuniga and Greenard our we weren’t rushing the passer, and we weren’t setting the edge. The inability to do either allowed the corn dog passing and running game to go on a tear. They became very balanced, and effective.

They were a step slow filling holes. Very surprising that they’ve not progressed more. Only one Lb in our recruiting class right now. That’s concerning.

The line play is a separate issue when we became depleted with both DEs sidelined

Watch the play of the ILBs bad angles slow recognition and in chase mode because they weren’t meeting the ball carrier in the hole. Trying tackle a power back 3-5 yds on your side of the LOS is a recipe for disaster. You have to make them redirect laterally and gang tackle. Great Gators for sure but not elite and this allowed them great production on 16 carries

Don’t know but I hope everyone sees the truth about our depth- we have none. Last year two CBS were out and Georgia chewed us up. This year, apparently absent two DEs and our defense sinks. Last class hurt generally enrolling 16-18 and two classes with a total of one DL could take seasons from which to recover.

Especially without your two best end rushers.....
Losing Greenard and Zuniga allowed "Beavis" to scramble, where he's the most dangerous....drop to cover his recievers, and he runs for the 1st down.

I question the medical staff and coaches for allowing him to play at ALL! He was clearly not ready and could have made things even worse!
