I feel if Diaz gets the whack at UM he will be our next DC.
SFla recruiting, past with Mullen, availability ,etc all play into it.
While i would like someone else this is a "realistic" possiblity.

Dan has to realize the demanded change is not window dressing.

We need a top tier D. Full stop.

If Mullen messes around with the hire and it doesn’t work then Mullen is DOA

What “career”? I love Tebow and he is an all time Gators great imo. But, he was an absolutely horrible NFL QB. This is not intended as a slight to Tim. It just is what it is.

@92gator …… I bet if you looked at Tebow’s NFL stats, he would rank among the worst ever to play the position.

8-6 with an upset PO win AT Pittsburgh. 2500 passing yards, 50% completion rate, 17 TDs against 9 pics...

Not ssying he was great by any stretch, but certainly serviceable, with significant bonus in intangibles (which ironically, is the real reason he was blackballed--too big a distraction...). But there there are countless QBs in the NFL who sucked worse than TT, but managed to stick around bc they sucked quietly.

So up here in Columbus, game 2 or 3, OSU has a crap game against Minnesota and loses to Oregon. Ryan Day takes play calling duties away from DC Kerry Coombs. That is how you make a tough decision at a big time program. P.S. look at thread. No shortage of candidates who can coach, recruit and inspire. Dan, make the hard choice. These are highly paid big boys. They get it.

^^^btw, following up on my prior post, it makes Jville's failure to tap him inexcusable. They still sucked out loud beyond comprehrnsion, but somehow fadhioned themselves too good for TT...

Top Teams that Rank High in BOTH (top 25 in both lists)

    Clemson: 12 players, 5/5 years
    Georgia: 11 players, 5/5 years
    Alabama: 27 players, 4/5 years
    Iowa: 12 players, 4/5 years
    Michigan: 21 players, 4/5 years
    Wisconsin: 11 players, 4/5 years
Penn State: 13 players, 3/5 years
    Utah: 12 players, 3/5 years
    Kentucky: 8 players, 2/5 years
    LSU: 19 players, 2/5 years
Miami (FL): 16 players, 2/5 years
Miss State: 8 players, 2/5 years
Ohio State: 24 players, 2/5 years
    TCU: 10 players, 2/5 years
    Washington: 16 players, 2/5 years

BTW, having the 4th highest number of players drafted, but only 1 top-25 defense is the definition of wasting talent, IMO

I think if you're looking for coaches, you target the 15 teams who are good at both.

Not much different than our O under our previous coaches. We couldn’t do squat on the field yet we had a ton of NFL guys

    Reasonable reply.
Those numbers, in general, don’t speak to an NFL caliber starter imo. Serviceable, possibly. I still bet his career QBR ranks among some of the worst ever. When i get a moment I’ll research it for us.

Actually Mullen and Mason are close, and that fight two years ago was started by...you guessed it...Todd Grantham. You can see the love between the two during the postgame handshake.

Agree. He might be my pick among the "realistic".

Vandy had no talent, but played disciplined football. Something Grantham's teams lack by the boatload.
