And doesn’t the fact that he signed his NLI after the NIL blew up, has not yet been released, and denied the reports that he’s been asking for a release tell you where he really wants to play?

I’m hearing both sides are looking to exit gracefully.

After a week of drama it appears to be the best course.

    Hope we can grab Howard.

Where someone wants to play is an obsolete concept with NIL. It's all about the Benjamins now. If it wasn't, he would have enrolled here last week. He will go where the money is best. Like I said, it has nothing to do with school anymore. He's missing a semester of school for more money. Not saying I wouldn't do the same, but, it is the way it is now.

That's a good question, too. If he already signed any of the NIL contracts, why wouldn't he be bound to those since school selection is not supposed to be an allowable criteria? Who knows what he has signed at this point, though.

If the Rashadas wanted more money after Jaden signed his LOI, I think UF should NOT release him from his LOI. Make him transfer and wait a year to play football as a penalty for going against the agreement that was in place. However, I hope the Rashadas didn't do this and there's something else that makes neither them or the UF football program look bad.

Shouldn’t whoever the money was coming from, who contracted with JR… be held accountable to his said contract. So JR should be able to get his money anyway if he stays with the Gators.

The Gators did their expected part… and should not release JR, but JR could still get the money through suing the one who promised it.

Everyone should be held accountable to the contract.

He won’t have to wait a year. Everyone gets a freebie.

He would have to enroll to get the one time transfer.
If he wants out of the NLI. There is a process. I posted the website somewhere.

    Found it
    National Letter of Intent

would be a horrible look for Uf being that Uf is supposed to have nothing to do with nor knowledge of NIL deals prior to signing with Florida and that under every circumstance, the institution always looks to blame and takes the heat from media and opposing teams in these player transfer scenarios and LOI debacles. Moving on and granting a release - if it comes to that - is a no brainer for any school in this situation.

You really think he’s going to be forced to sit out a year?

Wonder how they vet people/business like this. Who's to say this wasn't a set up by another school?

I don’t think you understand that the athlete literally has ALL the leverage, socially. No matter what

No. I was just stating the process.
He will have to request to be released from his NLI. UF can agree or deny. If UF agrees its over and he can go wherever without penalty. If denied, then there will be a hearing in front of the NLI board and they will either grant it or deny it. If denied and he doesn't enroll, He will lost a year of eligibility and have to sit out a year. There is also an appeals process. The whole thing can take several months.

UF not granting it is recruiting suicide.

We came in second for him a year ago. He shouldn’t need to visit.

Don’t think he visit a year ago either. He was there on the other sideline for our game vs LSU.
