These are the 5. The top 3 can rotate based on the quality of their programs at any moment.
I think ...righty now...this is correct.

But Tennessee was 1A with FSU for a good while there to me..

That is the best the system will do. This will likely give us a decent indicator.

With only 3, it's easy, SWAC, Georgia, and Miami - depending on the circumstances as to which comes first. Those are permanent rivalries and have been pretty much since the first game we played. Miami may only be recognized in this context by older GATORS or GATORS that live or have lived in South FLORIDA. I wish we played each of these teams every year.

Looking at a 4th. LSU looks good now the way that Tennessee looked good in the 90's and early part of 00's. To me these will always be intense games whenever the teams are highly rated, but some will have to dig deeper than others to get that special feel out of these games when the other team has fallen on their face.

I don't consider Alabama a rival. In fact, I'm grateful for the job they've done at keeping Georgia from winning a title while we've been busy gracing other teams with an opportunity to be successful in SEC play. They're just a team we've gone head-to-head with a few times for a conference championship, but not really a rival beyond that context, in my opinion.

If I had to pick a 4th, it would be Auburn. They are the closest school to us, and like Miami, we should be playing them every year. It was a shame that series has to come to an end. Can't wait for them to move to the East one day. But this 4th is still a distant ways back from the top 3, in my eyes (much closer to Tennessee or LSU).

Then maybe UCF (just kidding @MikeBianchi )

    Go GATORS!

Just remember when voting that Tennessee stole our first SEC title, (and with 7 selectors naming us national champs that year, may be part of why we don't claim a 4th. UCF only had one selector and they claim it)

Tennessee can't lose often...or bad enough.

    I was a kid, but I remember.

I hate FSU as much as the next person, but its one game where the Georgia game impacts our season as a whole. They are in our conference, and we have to beat them to win the SEC. That's it. They are both in our neighborhood so its a recruiting battle. Except one impacts our SEC schedule and one doesn't. In my mind this makes the decision extremely easy.

Biggest take away from the numbers is that at 97% currently , there seems to be at least 1 person that didn’t vote free shoes as one. I’m thoroughly confused by this , don’t care how bad they are/get I want to beat them by 60 every time we play. Despite how bad I can’t stand ga having lived around them my entire life, they still don’t come close

Agree on no 1. Proximity is the main reason

The order has changed a bit over the years depending on the fan base I have to put up with.

During college in the 70s it was
    1. Georgia 2. Auburn 3. Nobody
We always beat fsu, so no biggie and I actually rooted for Miami if they weren't playing UF.

    Moved to SFla
    1.Miami 2. Georgia 3. Fsu
If we never play Miami, I still wanted them to lose in every sport. Ga a close second.

Spending a lot of time in C Fla these days and have a few fsu neighbors.
    1. Fsu 2. Georgia 3. Miami

    Interesting... Didn't know that...

It's just hard for me to pick Tennessee and consider it a bigger game than say LSU and Miami... because even though they're a storied program... we've simply dominated that series too much for it to compare...

Don't get me wrong, they hate us... :D But rivalries almost lose their luster when 1 team dominates that game too much...

And the SEC had 10 Teams back then. So, 9 SEC Teams voted. Only 3 supported the Gators to keep the SEC Championship, may be a surprise to some:
    Alabama.
    Auburn.
And it was either Ole Miss or Mississippi State. Having a senior moment, can’t remember which one right now. :)

But we have to remember who led that charge and continue to beat their program further into oblivion.

Thing of it is, I never understood at the times why Tennessee was pushing all that so hard. We weren’t playing them every year. I couldn’t recall we had a big disagreement going on about something in the SEC. Just startled me why the Vols seem to be so determined to strip us of our first SEC Championship.
