My take: While I feel Mullen's approach to the game was 1/2 hearted, primarily because of the opt outs. I feel a post like that comes form someone still butt hurt about the the loss and how the Gators looked to finish up a 3 consecutive loss season.
That whole account reads like a butthurt ignorant crybaby. Before social media trash like that would never see daylight
We will see. When Dan Patrick is saying that Georgia got sloppy also, that's kind of high profile for the NCAA to turn a blind eye, but it has happened before, while Mullen gets a show cause for some pretty trivial stuff in comparison. Tennessee and Georgia need to get hammered (and Ole Miss definitely should have been hammered more than they were). It makes me wonder if this flurry of action by the NCAA is them trying to say "Hey, we are relevant, look at what we are doing to clean up messes. Don't try to start your own football oversight. You need us."
yeah I hear you too. Do you think it was a simple matter of loyalty to the more senior guys, or might Grantham have felt he had his best players out there? It is a little bit more difficult to think he’d have loyalty to guys he inherited over guys he recruited.
man that’s what I was debating when it comes to why he remained soooo loyal this year but didn’t keep Dean at STAR last year when he benched him and reduced his snaps. That just didn’t happen this season and i wish i knew why. Heck I wonder if he kept them out there to build his case as the reason to get rid of Gray and English because I’ll admit, at times the right call was made defensively and they just didn’t make a play. That doesn’t make sense but that’s all I can come up with in addition to what you said. What you think @justinwitt07
They did in 2011 but the only time we played Bama with the new expanded SEC was in 2014 and that was our 4th game of the season (well 3rd since the cupcake got cancelled)
Part of me thinks have the defensive staff just mailed it in this year. I can’t come up with a rational x and o explanation of how they could continually run out dudes that didn’t do the most basic of things in there 3rd year in the system
All the coaches at UF this year agreed to forego all performance-based bonuses in an econonmically depressed pandemic environment. Had nothing to do with anything being revoked.
