Would you like to see a Full Back in an offense again?

I wonder, if it would be effective as most teams do not use it and it would give a different look. Much like playing a triple option team causes problems for defenses.

Since CBN is insistent in running a heavy 2 TE system, why not bring a TE in motion and use him as a traditional type of FB.

    Thoughts?

BTW, I am wishing for a more 3 WR or even 4 WR set based on the talent we have.

More packages and options the better. I hopong for three wr sets too but our line has to hold up without the extra blocker. If DJ has full mobility all year, itll keep front sevens from pinning their ears back.

At least for certain pkgs. We have a ready made FB in Myles Graham. I wouldn’t want him there full time though as he is valuable to us at LB.
Billy Latsko was awesome at that position for Urban Meyer.

No. Don't need it. Hback would help occasionally. More receivers spread out thins the middle. Runners find good opportunities there. Bunching up is counter productive. Don't do it.

Without the extra blocker you usually have 1 less defender in the box. Our Tight Ends don’t block that well anyway.

I was gonna say the 2 TE, 1 in motion as well. Fullback plays in the flat are very limited but can be very effective due to the lack of defenses seeing it. But TEs in motion give an offense more variety. In this day and age, if you use a fullback, he better be able to produce in the run and pass game to offset an attacking defense.

Another question: Is Callaway going to be forced to use Napier's 2 TE system or ? If Napier is dead set and hired Callaway to just run his system, no. But maybe Callaway has other ideas and the freedom to try some different things?

Didn't we sign a big Dez Watson type O-line guy that can run the 100 yd in high school? He would be perfect for full back in short yardage.

Calloway has been here. Just his name tag got changed and he "may" have a bit more say so.

I'd rather them use the talented RBs in the passing game more.

If we were being honest, and I think we can be, there's so much more they could do with the talent we have. We'll know by game 5 I believe if Callaway is just here to take a page out of Billy's playbook, so to speak.

I believe alot of that comes with who the qb is and what his tendencies are. Oc's work with the strengths of their qbs. Nobody would ask Brady to be Farve or Rodgers. Qbs have skillsets and preference. Some use te's heavily and some dont. Some need a rb out of the backfield catching passes and some rely heavily on wideouts.

I want to see Graham as a wildcat QB, with Baugh in the backfield.

Shivers recruited for the DL would be the guy. He toted the rock in high school and is massive and super strong.
