Here is what I know. There is a plan in place (geez thats sounds Taggertish) if in fact CTG bolts for Cincinnati. I expect it to happen at this point. CDM has already reached out to a couple of camps.

How quickly do you think we'd move on it, should Grantham accept?

TC was always one that everybody knew wouldn't last 3 years at UF before he bolted so us having a plan in place already shouldn't surprise anyone.

I understand the trend, but.......Continuity would be nice. It makes a great difference to a team.

It certainly doesn't help that Todd Grantham and Torrian Gray have the same initials...because for a moment I thought you were suggesting Torrian Gray would be leaving as well.

Hope that won't be the case.

At the top of my list would be (in no particular order):

    Mike MacIntyre
    Don Brown
    Alex Grinich
    Jim Leavitt
    Marquand Manuel
    DJ Durkin

Not saying he is my first choice, but he is a choice with some baggage of course.

I always noticed his presence on the sideline at UF and thought he seemed like a good coach. But the Maryland stuff... whew

I don’t think the baggage is worth it.

I get he's Grantham's protege but he's 28 years old and been a position coach for exactly one year. I just don't see the NFL as a threat

No way they can hire Durkin, that would be a field day for negative recruiting by opponents. But I think he’s a good coach.

I'd ask everyone on the list before Durkin honestly.

    1. Brown
    2. Leavitt
    3. MacIntyre
    4. Grinich
    5. Manuel
    6. Durkin

Think we have a good shot at Leavitt if we can match Nike $$$
Wouldn't mind Manuel but I think he stays NFL.......
My gut and logic is it will be someone who has worked with DM before

Mullen will never be caught flat footed. A victim of bad timing maybe. But always prepared.

No. NFL coordinators don't typically get to hire their own assistants, especially now when they start with a new team.
