It can be done on most phones and many printers. The process for doing so ranges from trivial or complex. again, depending on the type of phone and printer involved.

I have an iphone and a wireless printer. It works perfectly. Say print and choose the printer.

I have given up on having a printer in my home. I print like 4 pages a year and I got tired of my ink cartridges drying up. I save things I need printed to my phone and go to the local office depot. They have me send it to an email address and I print it from one of their "copiers". It costs me about 15 cents a page. Doing this has taken my copying costs from 50 dollars a year for copiers to less than a dollar a year.

If you have an android or an apple phone you download an app. I have a pdf one that converts almost any file to that format.
