Winning the SEC title would be fantastic and would make me very happy. This is what Coach Spurrier always wanted the most each season.

Another National Championship too, but that might take a little longer. Not sure at this point.

Would settle for the SEC title for now.

Feel free to offer your thoughts/opinions on our chances of winning each.

Right after little Danny Mullen stops dressing up like Darth Gator and gets rid of that big bully Todd.

This...I am a fan of Mullen but he needs to add some seriousness to the program. Whatever it takes and part of that is cutting the crap out that trickles down onto the team and causes things like shoe throwing and celebrating a receiver dropping a pass when you have given up over 400 yards passing.

Another part of getting serious is being so pissed that your best offensive team in 12 years, probably the best offense in the nation, was hamstrung by your worse defense ever and fixing it by a total overhaul. He should be so pissed about this season and make wholesale changes. Yet he seems ok with “pretty good” when we’re able to be amazing.

At the earliest, sometime after Nick Saban retires.

Saban isn't the only recruiting and coaching force in the SEC.
Very soon Kiffin will field a scoring machine just like Saban has.
And Kirby is already out-recruiting and out-coaching us right now.

I think the expansion of the CFP to 8 teams will help distribute the talent nationally. (To some degree)
Once a few teams besides Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Notre Dame start appearing in the playoffs at least some of the most talented players around the country will choose those other schools.
So to answer your question Bazz ..
    Eventually but not real soon.
Georgia and Florida will continue to battle it out in the SEC East.
Alabama will have a fight from LSU and Texas A&M next season.

I was going to say after Saban retires AND the NCAA actually looks into their practices.

    2022 will be the year.

Our OL will be the reason we score a lot of points. They will have multiple years under Hev and should be mean as heck. Our QB's and RB's will thrive because of this OL.

On D we should be solid in most positions and a few positions will be elite. However, I'm banking on a few DL to emerge next season so they dominate in 2022. That is the biggest question mark for me.

After we get two or three top five recruiting classes, then another couple years for them to develop.

You already made that joke on Too Hot. Though, unlike the other thread, at least you referenced an actual speculation in this one. This being a "prediction" thread about sports -- and not a move to assign blame of a domestic terrorism incident on the pure basis of what fits my political narrative, sans evidence -- I felt comfortable granting myself an exception to policy.

I think we will be in the playoffs next year.
I actually don't like TG at all but I think the D will be better, and we win the East.
The National title is another step but its hard to imagine that next year.

We were so close this year- TAMU and LSU certainly could have gone in our favor.

Next year. We were 1 score from the SEC this year.
If we win the SEC we will likely be faves to win the Natty too.

    Next year.

Edit: I should have kept reading @Distant Gator beat me to it.

The easy answer is that in the current climate, IF we win the SEC, we will likely be able to win the natty.

Having said that, it could be a combination of things already brought up. Saban retires, need top 5 recruiting classes IN-A-ROW, that might be one reason for the defense falling off this year. We were much better last year so that doesn't account for Todd G. but it does account for un-even talent coming in every other or every two years.
