Will be interesting to see how South Carolina reacts after such a huge win last week. Will they be hungover - or will we after our huge loss?

That said - I really don't look at our loss as huge, except in the context that it was one we could have won, had we not had injuries we did on defense. Water under the bridge, unless it affects this game.

    With Trask....all things are possible......

With Trask, all things are possible. I like that!

Not sure what to expect from our defense though.

    31-20 Gators

Gators rebound, stay gap sound, and turn that frown upside down. Trask train continues to gain steam in winning the east.

UF - 31 (with at least one defensive TD)
SC - 20 (Tied at the half and Muschamp plays for OT)

I’m worried about the defensive side of the ball right now. Interesting to see how they bounce back.

the ol still makes the margin for error with this offense razor thin.

I think this is an ugly game where South Carolina grinds a lot of yards on the ground 3-4 yards a pop and Florida has to score late to hold on for the win.

    31-27 Florida.

38- 10. USC Scores late Against backups. They have been celebrating and taking in plaudits all week, while we have been disrespected again

Eastowest stole my pic 31 - 17 pick so I'll kick it up a McPherson FG to 34 - 17 UF.

Probably a 14-7, 17-7 game at half. Gators pull away in the second half.

Yes. Elite defenses from Muschamp but suck-ass offenses. I'm not eager to swap and hope the defensive side of the ball can recover. I'm not one of those that thinks our D just had a minor setback because of injuries. Hoping they prove me wrong and I don't see our season evaporate this Saturday.

I'm going to assume that Greenard, Zuniga, and Toney are out for this game because that's most likely to be the case.

It's hard to predict this game because a lot changes if Hilinski and Edwards are available... Being objective, I think our WRs are top 3 in the SEC, perhaps behind Alabama and LSU, but not by much... but if Bryan Edwards were a Gator, he'd be the best WR on this deep Florida WR group.

Maybe Muschamp is learning something... he went from Bentley to Hilinski... and from Deebo to Edwards... not bad for a guy who sucks at building offenses... :D

If Hilinski and Edwards play, which I will assume is the case, the Gators win a close one with the kicking game and special teams being the difference

    27-21

I think the Gamecocks are coming around, defensively, as expected under a Muschamp team... and I think this Florida team, like others in very recent memory, tends to play up against tough opponents, but unfortunately, play down against inferior opponents. I'm going to guess this plays out like the Kentucky game and there will be quite a bit of nail-biting moments, and hopefully we don't need a last-minute comeback to win the game... but we're coming off two tremendously physical matchups in Auburn and LSU... and we have Georgia to look forward to... We look ahead to Georgia, and we take this game for granted, no doubt South Carolina will give us trouble... they also seem to be a better football team, right now, than Kentucky (all of this of course if they have Hilinski and/or Edwards).

I think the Florida pass rush will make a return in this game, even without Greenard and Zuniga, but not quite the elite level we've seen in games like Miami and Auburn. I think, again provided that Hilinski and/or Edwards play(s), they'll still move the ball often enough and capitalize on some inopportune turnovers (which have seemed to bug Florida most of the season) making this a close game, but it's still not enough in the end.

Now, if Hilinski doesn't play (even if Edwards does), I don't think this is a close game. That 3rd string QB pretty much just did enough to stay alive against Georgia, he didn't really move the ball or score much. He is much worse than Bentley or Hilinski.

In that case, the score would something closer to a 24-10 type of game... It'll be slower pace, but Florida would lead most of the game, then pull away at the end... Kind of a game where the score is closer than the game actually felt...
