With 3 games remaining against Vandy, Missouri, and FSU, I see us going 3-0. Slightly concerned with Mizzou as they've just always had our number but I think we get the W. That being said we are 10-2 and looking at a potential New Years Eve bowl game. My question is, who do you ses us playing? We've seen Michigan too many times, so hoping for a team that we haven't seen (and can beat) before. Texas, ND, Wisconsin, Oklahoma?

Man I hope we don't see Oklahoma, our defense would not fare well in that game.

If UF finishes 10-2, I could see us the Orange Bowl against the AAC champ as the Group of 5 qualifier.

We’re at #10 right now. We win out, we’ll end up around 8th or 9th. So unless we blow it against Missouri again, a New Year’s Six bowl is a foregone conclusion at this point.

The last projection I saw was the Orange Bowl against Wake Forest.

ESPN, CBS, Sporting News, Bleacher Report, College Football News all project Orange Bowl against Wake Forest.

Likely Wake Forest in the Orange if we take care of business. And I'm fine with that. If we can run the table, that's a 10-2 regular season and another NY6 Bowl. And a game better than last season too. Mullen would have major bowls in his first 2 seasons here. Despite the loss to uga, this would show we are headed in the right direction.

As a fan, I really hope Wake Forest isn't the team we face. I mean sure it's a W, but what do we stand to gain from that matchup? I'd like to see Texas or Wisconsin, just from a viewership standpoint. Are gator fans going to travel to see us play wake forest?

Are we talking about Wake getting a NY6 bowl because Clemson will be in the playoffs and they have to another acc team?

A week in Miami at the Orange Bowl would be a good reward for this team. Nice showcase for the fertile recruiting turf down here too.

Yeah I saw all those too. That would be a much better way to end the season than another snoozer in Orlando or Tampa. Would much prefer someone other than Wake though.

Hopefully this changes if Wake suffers losses to VT, Clemson, and either Duke or Syracuse.

There are enough Gators in South Florida that they won't have to travel to fill the stadium. When it's not hosting a CFP semifinal, the highest ranked ACC team that isn't in the CFP goes to the Orange Bowl (ACC tie-in through 2025). If Clemson, the presumptive ACC champ, goes into the CFP, then #2 goes to Miami.

Wake is the only ranked ACC team that isn't Clemson. If Clemson wins out (beating Wake in the process), and Wake wins its other games (VT, Duke, Syracuse), Wake will finish 10-2. UVA is 6-3, and will probably end up 9-4 after the ACC Championship. That would leave Wake as the next-best ACC team, and guarantee them a spot in the Orange Bowl. Florida going to the Orange Bowl requires the SEC sending two teams to the CFP (#3 to the Sugar Bowl), or sending one and UF hopping UGA.

Unless someone beats Clemson, the #2 ACC team will go. Right now, that's Wake, with a slim chance for UVA and Pitt.

Orange would be very cool. Unfortunately, Wake Forest isn't the 'sexist' match-up...

Yeah, Oklahoma would be a horrific match-up. Preferably someone 'highly ranked' that can't pass the ball! Must be someone out there:eek::rolleyes:

    Go Gators.:)

  15. Unless Clemson loses, there is no other ACC team that could go.

I really don't care about the venue, I care about the opponent. Wake is more or less on a par with ucf from a semantic standpoint. A win over Wisconsin or Texas is a lot heftier from a historical perspective.

Where will a two loss SEC champ get placed?

Because, Anyone who thinks UGA team that lost to South Carolina at home cant lose to Auburn and aTm is crazy.
I am still holding hope for Atlanta.

    No reason not to yet.

I wouldn't mind Wisconsin - at least we won't have to worry about their passing game
