Astros knocked Lance Lynn around. Didn’t make it out of 4. The Stros lineup is very long.

Rays are just so good in every aspect. They have a real shot to win it all this year.

LA vs SF should be a terrific series. Really looking forward to that one.

Agree with all of your scenarios Greg—it’s the game and that’s for sure but it kinda fooled me with all of the preseason accolades the Dodgers were getting (like the league might as well concede early) that they had to go the Wild Card route to play in.

Hope it’s a great series in both leagues.

Except for lack of fan support and having a crappy stadium.

    Otherwise a really great team.

I didn’t know Lance McCullers was a UF commit. He pitched a terrific game today. 6 2/3, 0R

That steal of home was brilliant. Loads of fun to watch. You have to like that guy. He seems to have an extra gear in October, the exact opposite of the Yankees!!!

Bob Costas, Buck Showalter, and Jim Kaat are announcing a game managed by Tony LaRussa and Dusty Baker.

    What year is it?

Houston is getting screwed a bit here. They have had a 3PM and a 1PM start at home on workdays. The crowd has still been excellent but Sunday in Chicago is a night game. Ridiculous as the higher seed. Obviously dictated by TV but still annoying.

Game 2 has been an excellent affair. Sox went up 1-0 in the 1st. Stros take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd. Sox come back and take a 4-2 lead in the top of the 5th. Houston comes back in the bottom half to tie it again.

Compelling stuff as least as far as I am concerned. Been some great D. Some great pitching. Some bad pitching. Some clutch hits. Lots of against the shift stuff.

Amazing that the Rays have one of the smallest payrolls in MLB. They play really well.

Anyone else notice how many empty seats they had last night?

    That is a shame.

Not by the White Sox so far. They had an opportunity to blow the game wide open in the first and didn't do it.

Astros are seasoned pros. The White Sox have guys that might gel into a really good team with some experience. Robert can be a really good one. All the skills. Probably will be a free agent to a big money team in the near future.

Stros really blew it open in the 7th with 5 runs. Kyle Tucker (Preston’s brother) had a jack.

I like rooting for Charlie Morton. Big wins in Houston and Tampa. He had a great game today but no help. 2ER, 3H in 6IP. Just no help at all.

Agree completely-even had 9 K’s in 6 IP-just like you said, no help at all. For the Braves to have any post season success they have to nail down Morton and Fried’s starts. Anderson is kinda on any given day…

Brilliant start by the Rays against Sale and it was wasted. The bullpen was rocked.

I didn’t know Collin McHugh pitched for the Rays now (he was with Houston forever).

So is the Astros vs White Sox game tomorrow only on radio? So 1950's.

When I first moved to Gainesville I could get the signal from the cable on my wife's tiny portable TV. We watched many sporting events for free.

Could be a rather compelling set of Division series. 3 of the 4 are tied at 1-1. The Trolley Car Avoiders beating Gaussman (my autocorrect changes that to Gaussian…) in San Fran is big. The Giants are going to need Disco to step up big time.
