I stumbled across this and had no idea who Post Malone was. And to think I used to be so up on things. Anyway, I thought it was interesting ...

Should be 12. I have no idea how Zack and Codeine, Candy Paint and Sugar Wraith are not Top 20 hits.

The real question about this is:

How many top streaming would tthe Beatles have if that technology was available duriing their " popular", or " all the rage" era?

I think they would have beat anyone by a country mile

remember, it isn't comparing Malone's numbers now to the Beatles then. It's number of top 20 hits at the time.

Agreed, it's pretty hard to compare, yet, the Fab Four held the record in their heyday, without the benefits of social media, FAR better TV, radio, ( they were mostly on AM and B&W TV in their early years, when they had a bunch of hits.

All I'm saying is it was two different eras, and I'm most definitely NOT taking any credit away from anybody.

    They BOTH had amazing accomplishments!

Personally, it says more about the current crop of music listeners than the quality of the artist.

And yes, get off my lawn!

His name is Austin Malone. He's from the Dallas area and his dad is the concessions managers at Jerry world.

Several years ago he came out with a song called White Iverson. Very good song that brought this kid to my attention. He's very talented and makes great music. At his concerts he likes to bring out surprise guest rappers and he's known for spending $10k on biscuits from Popeyes for his fans.

Unlike a lot of rappers he can play instruments. I'd love to see this kid live. Keep it up Austin.

He's also known to show up at various venues and randomly takes the stage to play free shows as he did recently in Nashville.

Austin Richard Post, not to be confused with Austin Mahone, who is also an artist...
