This is a post game discussion or are we just allowed to say “wow what a win”. Yes we are glad to win. Dallas Wilson is great. But our OC/HC decided to make it a nail biter and has a history of mistakes costing games we should win.
I just got home from watching our local soccer team in a big match, I recorded the game to watch later but came on here first to see how it went, I know nothing about how it played out but OMG, you would think we lost at home to a team that crushed us last year! It looks like the classic not happy even when we win, we just beat #9 Texas for goodness sake! Rant over!
I’m gonna revel in this win as a gator fan and giving the coaching staff props for playing a good game. But at the very end there there was an opportunity for Billy to get a 10 second runoff which he refused. Both of the announcers basically threw up their hands go WTF I agree with what you said, but beginning to wonder if DJ is super injury prone. Seems like he can’t go one game without getting injured. That’s a real problem when you’re supposed to be a dual threat quarterback. All that having been said, kudos to the gators for playing a great game and taking care of business at the swamp. Despite the coaching problems I am a gator for life. Go gators.
Dallas Wilson is a stud. DJ actually looked like DJ for awhile, then the injury. That first drive he had zip on his ball and the Oline just pushed texas around.
To think or post anything reflecting a view that Coach Napier was not a key reason the Gators won today is just wrong. I admit he exhibited poor judgment re not taking the 10 second runoff; but the team played great for him; and his play calling was actually pretty damn good throughout the game.
Meh, rankings at this time of the season are stupid. End of season are a better indicator. Texas hasn’t played anyone at this point and was way overrated because of their logo, last year and the last name of their QB. It’s still a W but there was several instances of WTF Napier moments. D was legit.
This game actually provided more proof that Napier is not the guy. We won inspite of him with some quality defense and individual big plays by Dallas, Vernell and Baugh. Texas helped with bad qb play and screwing up the blocking scheme on a punt.
It should stop, to get the player off the field, but then it should start again with the play clock. At minimum he should of ran 25 seconds off before calling a TO. Maybe im crazy but id rather run a back up LT out there and just run 65 seconds off the next 2 plays instead of trying to get Barber back in the game.
Give it a rest. Napier still sucks as a HC. Plenty of stats to back that up. And if you just show up to post and counter those that are critical of Napier you are no better.
