I prefer predicate nominatives, my own self.

As objects in predicate nominatives, it would sound awfully pejorative. I could see it more commonly used as the object of a predicate adjective.

Was...I got no 'fight' left in me at this age...that's a young man's game. Remember I am so old, I carried a Brown Bess in Ranger School.

    LOL

Once a Ranger, always a danger!

I enjoy your posts my man, it's nice to have a little fun with a Gator poster. Some folks around here are a bit too serious!

Thanks. I make enough of them. :-D I do often say that "there is no statute of limitations on the Ranger Creed" but the whole obligation to "...move further, faster..." thing must be evaluated on an age-adjusted sliding scale. I need to be asked to "move further faster" than any other 66-year old soldier...In that regard, I think I'm doing OK. Those youngsters doing the nasty now are sick with what they are capable of achieving. Just as the standards for academics at U of F have significantly burnished the credibility of my humble degree from 1982, the things being done by Rangers these days...we never imagined in my day. Ranger School itself is remarkably unchanged. The gear changes but the mountains are just as brutal, the swamps as miserable. What my dad did in 1958 was little changed to what I did in 1982-83.

It's about time for Rusty Whitt and company to place trash cans outside the doors to the weight room is it not?

And bunker busters and anything else known and unknown. The range and entire Gulf is the world's largest testing ground.

I dont think taking the money now applies to Webb. A 3rd or 4th rb on a bad team coming off an injury and little playing time before the transfer does not figure into much NIL. Getting exposure is his only route now.

I somehow got the impression that Eric Singleton was a rangy possession receiver, but he’s a speedy little guy. Said to have been the fastest WR in the 2024 portal: explosive, sure hands, almost always slips the first tackle. With him and VB3 screens might actually work.

I thought we would end up with a receiver from Duke or WVU that fit that profile to a degree, but we hit the jackpot with Singleton instead.
