Probably. Personally I think Jones is on a different team 365 days from now, so I wouldn't mind grabbing another guy just for a depth piece in 2027.

The only thing that matters is the CURRENT talent composite of your starters and key back ups. Thats it. Nothing else matters.

I called this a couple months ago. Probably transfer again too unless he goes pro.

 

He did well at Pitt but the freshman (his replacement) came in and balled out.

 

Im for staying out of a coaches way and let him do his thing. If he succeeds or fails, it shouldnt be from interference or lack of support for whatever he feels he needs. We can all have our opinions and shoot the shit but thats just entertainment. Its all in Sumralls court and i hope they stay out of his way.

 

Top 300 guys succeed much more often but the nfl draft is full of 3* guys. These portal guys are being rated by gheir hs evaluation 2-4 years later and that is very misleading.

 

This is strictly portal ranking. Has nothing to do with retention nor hs recruiting. Youd have to evaluate the entire roster when its all said and done to get what youre looking for.
